Partnerships with Community Groups

Our council's goal is to bring 10,000 kids into the woods at Camp Wyandot by 2010.
We have such a precious resource in our camp, and our mission requires us to reach out to the Central Ohio community so that more residents can
touch nature and be touched by it.

New research shows children's behavior, emotional disorders and even their vision can be improved by spending time in a natural environment,
rather than in front of a television or computer screen or other artificial setting.

The grandeur and beauty of our camp, coupled with our caring, trained
staff, have always made a deep impression in the lives of Camp Fire
members. But we don't want to keep it to ourselves.

We want to work with you!

Schools, churches, social service agencies, youth development groups,
corporations, and public entities, give us a call! If you simply need a calming, rustic space for a retreat and don't need support staff, we can
accommodate you. If you need instructors, leaders, cooks and maintenance
staff, we want to work with you, too!

We know the power of partnership, and already work successfully with
such groups as MetroParks, Franklin County Children and Family Services
and Deaf Services Center. Please call the Camp Fire office for rates and information at (614) 481-8227 or
email us!
