COMMUNITY FAMILY CLUBS
This is a new twist on the club program,
where a group of families meet together. The group leaders
plan an activity for younger children, led by an adult, an
activity for older children, led by an adult, an activity for
teens, led by the teens and supervised by an adult, and a workshop
or activity for the adults, usually the parents or grandparents
of the children in the club.
The whole group starts the meeting together, breaks up into groups, then comes
back together for a snack or ceremony.
The format makes it easy to spend time together as a family, meet other families,
and share age appropriate activities without dropping each child off at a separate
sport or club.
The Central Ohio council currently does not have any community family clubs
operating at this time, but don’t let that stop you! If you are interested
in learning more about this novel way to build community and family, and you
have motivated adults who can lead the club, call the office today at 614-481-8227!
